Juniper Berries

Main ingredient for flavoring gin, as well as other liqueurs. Intensely spicy in flavor, with a hint of pine. Crush juniper berries and rub on gamier meats for grilling or roasting to help reduce gaminess, as well as add tart flavor. Crushing before use will also release oils and enhance the spicy and piney flavor that juniper imparts. Additionally, juniper berries are great to use for marinades and sauces.
